Rotary International

What would it take to change the world? Rotary’s 1.2 million members believe it starts with a commitment to Service Above Self. In more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, you’ll find members volunteering in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio. Explore the Rotary International website to learn more about Rotary and how you can join your local Rotary club.

A new feature on the RI website allows visitors to view Rotary International’s districts and zones on an interactive map powered by Google Earth. Users can search for a specific district or zone, then see a map of it in their browser, with the capability of zooming in to the street level.

The maps are based on district data kept on file with Rotary International and will be updated each year as changes in districts or zones occur. Maps for districts in Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland will be added soon.

Rotary Club of Ann Arbor West

” Have a beer, change the world!! “

We are evening club, comprised of professionals who prefer to meet in the evenings, over a beer. We meet because we have a keen interest in meeting interesting people in a community of more than a million Rotarians world-wide and in helping make this world a better place.

We meet in our local clubs to share fellowship, friendship and conviviality, as well as to share the synergy of bright, motivated professionals collaborating their best ideas in a fusion of horizons to better humanity.

Helping educate children is a good way to prevent growth of poverty. A child, who has vocational education, manages to get out of poverty, creates the path that others can take. They become role models, and get the incentive to pay-it-forward.

Project Hope RISING

RI (Rotary International) in S (Sri Lanka) and IN (India) for Girl (G) education.

Most non-profits always look for money to sustain its operations. However, the resources that we are looking to save have unlimited potential. We want to provide the skills of the future for orphans and the neglected youth globally.

This project provides local girls training to be the front end project and service personnel, and the youth in India and Srilanka to be back-end support teams. These teams will work with various Charitable institutions and provide web, email and service support for a nominal fee that would sustain their organizations.

This is modelled after the typical outsourcing model that is used by global organizations today. However, our goal is to have these organizations make money to sustain themselves.

Our plan is to change the world and nothing short would do! As Confucius said.. “If your plan is for one year, plant rice. If your plan is for ten years, plant trees. If your plan is for hundred years, educate children.”
